About Lakeview

Lakeview Elementary is the educational home for 310 students in grades 4K through 5th grade.

In May 2018, Lakeview was recognized by the state of Wisconsin as a "Beating the Odds" school, a Wisconsin Title 1 School of Recognition.  The 87 statewide schools that received the designation of "Beating the Odds"
• are in the top 25% of high poverty schools in the state
• have above-average student achievement in reading and math when compared to schools from similarly sized districts, schools, grade configurations, and poverty levels.
Principal's Message:

Lakeview is a great place to learn and grow!  This is my 24th year in education and I have been a South Milwaukee "Rocket" for 19 of those years.   2022-23 is my 6th year as a principal and 5th as the proud principal of Lakeview Elementary.

Lakeview is known for:
• High expectations for students
• Strong relationships with students and families
I am proud to serve with the amazing educators at Lakeview.

Mr. Sepersky was a music teacher prior to becoming a principal.  In the 2010-2011 school year, Mr. Sepersky was a Senator Herb Kohl Foundation Fellowship Award winner.  He holds a Masters in Education from Viterbo University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Alverno College.
Mr. Sepersky and his wife have 3 daughters.

Mr. Sepersky's favorite quote is this:
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer; it sings because it has a song!"  (Joan Walsh Anglund)
As families and educators, we are working together to help each child find his or her purpose so they may "sing" it proudly in life.

Lakeview's Mission:
The mission of Lakeview Elementary is to ensure each and every learner GROWS the knowledge and skills essential to achieving their full potential.

Lakeview's Vision:
We will create a school where each and every learner will thrive in welcoming and inclusive learning communities.

Lakeview's Values:
• We value strong relationships between students, staff, and families.
